How long have you been practicing Yoga? 12 years

Describe your teaching style: I enjoy teaching gentle/slow flow or restorative yoga, concentrating on working with the breath to induce a state of calm. My newest passion is working with prenatal ladies, exploring what their amazing changing bodies can do and creating an oasis of calm for them during the excitement of pregnancy.

What’s your favorite thing about teaching Yoga? I love to see people relaxing and smiling in my classes! Yoga is for EVERY body and I get so excited when I can see someone falling in love with it during my class.

What do you love about practicing yoga? I originally tried yoga because it had always looked kind of fascinating and I knew I was ‘bendy’! Soon I realized that the only time I really switched off from my internal ‘to do’ list was when I could feel the mat under my hands and feet – then I was hooked! Now I love to try all different kinds of classes and see how they make me feel.

Tell us about your Ohana: I am very happily married with two wonderful daughters and three crazy rescue pups!

Favorite place you’ve traveled to? I’m originally from the UK and also lived in Canada for two years. My favorite place to visit while we lived there was Banff National Park – breathing the fresh air and gazing  at the mountains.

Interests outside Yoga: I work full time helping people relocate around and into the US so that keeps me busy but I also love cheering on the Texans and going to the movies!

How do you define living your life to the fullest everyday? I try to practice an ‘Attitude of Gratitude’ because there is ALWAYS something wonderful to be thankful for.

Your favorite quote / bible verse: ‘The body benefits from movement and the mind benefits from stillness’ – Sakyong Mipham.
